Or do you send your cover letter and resume alone.
When you e-mail your resume to a prospective employer, do you write a note and attach your resume?
I would write a note telling what job you want and attach your resume and a cover letter.
Reply:I would suggest writing a note in addition to attaching your resume and cover letter. It suggests that you are taking extra time to introduce yourself and explain what you've attached. Simply attaching the resume might be perceived by some as a 'lazy' approach. It really doesn't take that long to do, and it is (in most cases) the first impression you are leaving with a prospective employer.
Reply:As a new manager, I can tell you that my one of my college discard any resume that does not include an cover letter and anything outside of the original. He view it as lacking professionalism and therefore does not want it in his present.
A bit harsh? I think so, but that just his prospective. I just it is the reason he reached the level he did at such a young age.

Reply:You may want to attach a short note, explaining your interest and why you think you can be a asset for this position.
Reply:The body of your e-mail would be your cover letter. With it, you'd attach your resume.
Reply:You just attach your cover letter and your resume
Reply:Cover letter and resume is fine don't over do it.
