How do I tell if an e-mail prize notification is genuine?

This is a Nokia N Series promotion, and they said a number was attached to my e-mail. I enter so many competitions I don't remember wether I entered this one or not.

How do I tell if an e-mail prize notification is genuine?
You should NEVER open spam emails. You should NEVER click on links in email unless you are 100% sure where the links will take you.

The email you describe is most likely spam and if you click on the link you will most likely get infected with some very serious malware.

Once you open spam emails you have told the sender that they have "a live one" and you will get even more spam.
Reply:if they ask for money or personal info--it is FAKE
Reply:most all are fake... but normally prizes are never go through email, i would b VERY careful..... i get like 5 a week that say stuff about lottery eventhough i never sign up for those things.... so if u didnt sign up for it its fake%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; and if it says just give ur name, sex, age, location, ect its fake.... if its real u will never have to do things
