How do you get your e-mail when you buy a new computer?

I had Microsoft Outlook on my computer which tottaly crashed. (black screen) My home internet is COX. I called them since I still pay for the email address under that account and they couldn't help.

I bought a new laptop with Vista which I understand is different. I want to access all the emails piling up under my old address. Any advice how to do that?

Thanks

Why don't you use a browser?

Although Bill Gates stated that Microsoft is internet-centric, almost all of its software regarding the internet is rubbish. Get Mozilla Thunderbird or other e-mail clients (I use digsby which can connect to several of your e-mail at once). There are lots of them on download.com or somewhere else.

If you can access your e-mail using a browser why don't you? Vista isn't much different from XP except that it uses lots more space.
