In my Outlook e-mail, when I reply to a message the color of the letters turn to blue?

My default is black, but it doesn't recognize it. Is there a way to have it start out black without manually changing it?

That's the default of Outlook for **replies** in HTML format.

If you want to change it to some other color:

- Click OPTIONS

- Click the Mail Format tab

- Click the Fonts button in the "Stationery and Fonts" section

You'll see the settings for fonts and colors. Adjust to taste :)
Reply:I am having the same problem but only on my Yahoo lists, not any of my other emails. It was working just fine until 2-3 weeks ago when it suddenly changed to this bold blue stuff. AACCKK! Any other ideas? (I'm on a Mac and I checked all my font settings and they look normal). Report Abuse
