In the professional world, I think it is important to say thank you via e-mail or respond when you're provided with new information. I know our e-mails get flooded, but I think this is important considering we're in the age of technology. I can't stand how some professionals never respond to their e-mail.
How often do you check and respond to e-mail? Why do some ignore e-mail?
I check 4 times a day. You are right to be frustrated..
Reply:I agree with mynameis...
Email is instant and easy communication. So companies are bombarded with it. Most major companies now refuse to put an email address on their web sites for that reason.
Anything instant and easy isn't goint to be met with spectacular results in my experience.
I have actually written companies asking for assistance with a product problem or for information on how to handle a situation and they have never answered my inquiry. That upsets me to no end. With email, I don't expect much.
Reply:I submit this, if for every 5 interesting e-mails, a person receives70-100 that are misleading, time consuming, and/or problemsome, that person would become frustrated, agrevated, and/or "annoyed" enough to, de-prioritize the activity of e-mail reading, sometimes the the person may have other issues, such as cigarette smoke in the eyes, or other such environmental/ physical impediments, or a handicap dis-enableing them from emailing, or lack of skill or patience with the e-mail process, or not enough time.
