How can I attach a file to an E-mail if this file is an image of high resolution ?

I need to know the steps of compressing an image. and if the sent image will be of the same resolution and quality as the original one.

How can I attach a file to an E-mail if this file is an image of high resolution ?
1) if you have winzip or any archiving software, you can compress the image and attach the file to the email. if you have winzip installed then right click on the image in windows explorer/desktop and click on "add to zip" ..fill in the options and click OK.

this way the original image is sent without any quality loss and with same resolution

2) this method will keep the same resolution but will decrease the quality [the image file size will be drastically reduced]

%26gt; open the image file in MS paint [in windows Start menu-%26gt; all Programs / Programs -%26gt; accessories-%26gt; paint]

%26gt; then in paint File -%26gt; save as -%26gt; new file name.jpg [make sure the format selected is jpeg/jpg]

3) if u want to customize the size and quality of the image then you can go for photo editors, i would suggest a simple and powerful tool ... Irfanview, its very easy to learn and very small in size
Reply:Go to http://www.download.com/ and download a copy of the software program IrfanView. IT'S FREE and you can use it to resize images so they're less than 600k, or resave images that may be corrupted. Once you have downloaded and installed IrfanView, simply run the program, open your .gif, or .jpg image, and resave it as another version (example: in IrfanView, open file named pic01.jpg, and resave it as pic01b.jpg). Then upload that image.
