Does it have them already put into it or do you have to use their website-based email and chat pages?
For example: the iPhone gets Yahoo Push email doesn't it? where it automatically sends the mail to the phone right? Does the iPod Touch have this? And are its chat programs built into it? Such as how many phones have mini versions of chat programs?
How do chat and e-mail work with Yahoo, AIM, MSN, etc. work on the iPod Touch?
Unfortunately, no, the iPod touch does not come with Email or chat applications. For email, you'll have to connect to the WiFi and use the Safari browser to access your email.
It goes the same for chat. Only web-based chat applications can be used on the touch.
I tried http://meebo.com for MSN on my ipod touch, and it worked perfectly. I've got a couple of friends who use http://www.flickim.com too, but I've never personally used it. Meebo's interface for chat is specifically for the touch/iphone, therefore its very nice looking and user friendly.
However, there is a jailbreak out now for the Ipod touch for you to add the Mail and Chat applications onto the ipod. :D I'm going to try that later.
Overall, other than that, the ipod touch seriously rocks the sh*t out of all the other mp3 players out there. :P
